My Name

          My name means whole, entire, and universal woman in German. To me, this means I'm not shy.  I'm 

outgoing and well... universal.  My name is a BRIGHT color.  This suits me- I love bright colors, they make me 

stand out.

          My name is the number 4- not one to forget.  4 can fit into a lot of other numbers, making me confident in 

fitting in with others.  This is my lucky number because my middle name also has four letters in it-

          My middle name Rose, is the Blessed Mother's flower.  I like that. I like it because it shows that I'm catholic. 

I'm not afraid to be myself and show others the type of person I am.  It's nice to show that in my name.

          My mom and dad didn't originally choose Emma.  In fact it was last minute.  My mom wanted to call me 

Courtney but my dad wanted to call me Laura.  This changed when they saw me- they knew I would be the 

perfect Emma. 

And I'm glad they did.

          My name rhymes with dilemma.  Dilemma is a problem.  I make mistakes.  Lots of them.  This makes me 

think that I'm the only imperfect problem in this world.  But I'm only human and humans aren't perfect  even 

though I want to be.  And as I go through life I realize, so does everyone else.  But all we can do is try.

          If I wasn't Emma I wouldn't be the same person I am today (just with a different name).  My name shaped 

me to be the person I am today.  I wouldn't want to change my name.  Ever.  It suits me.  Everyone has 

something that makes them special.
